about @crochetbytc

crochet by tc was founded this past august. over quarantine, i developed a passion for needlework. my first project was the Harry Styles JW Anderson patchwork cardigan. i then went on to create Crochet For Change, a fundraising organization dedicated to raising money though the creation of knitwear pieces.

i identify with she/her pronouns. i am a junior in high school. though crocheting is my main pastime, i also enjoy journaling, designing clothes, listening to music, reading, watching harry potter, survivor, and mavel movies, and working at Panera Bread!

linked below are all the youtube videos i watched when learning how to crochet. i recommend 1.75x speed. like learning anything new, it can be frustrating; so be patient with yourself and take breaks!

though i am still learning, if you have any questions regarding the basic skills of crochet, i would love to help!

a: yes, i accept commisions. however, right now (last updated december 31st 2020) my commissions are closed. if you would like to join the wait list, please let me know.

a: yes! i have a depop store :) it's linked below. i also sell through instagram!

༊*·˚q: is crocheting hard? is it easier than knitting?

a: i assume it's different level of challenge for everyone. my first few crochet squares were horrendous. i got it pretty quickly though and now i can do it without looking. it just takes practice. i've never knitted... but i've heard from multi-talented friends that crocheting is easier. i'd still love to learn how to knit one day.
